Aruma Lodge

Aruma Lodge (Broken Hill Senior Citizens Complex) was officially opened on 31st May 1980 and merged with Southern Cross Care (Broken Hill) Ltd in February 2004.

Aruma Lodge is situated in close proximity to Broken Hill’s central business district adjacent to the City Entertainment Center. Opposite the facility are well maintained public parklands and gardens. Aruma Lodge is a 58 bed low care facility which includes 1 respite room and a 10 bed dementia specific wing all under one roof.

 The facility employ suitably qualified nursing staff including a registered nurse, enrolled nurses and personal care assistants and is staffed 24/7. All meals provided for our residents are freshly prepared in the facility kitchen and served in our dining room. At Aruma Lodge we also operate a complete laundry service for the residents. There is a variety of activities conducted at the facility as well as organized outings to functions and places of interest.
